Anne Bergasse graduated from Sheridan College of Design in 1980 and arrived in Japan in 1990.
She taught in Tokyo at Temple University and is a member of ETJ (English Teachers in Japan).
A
professional graphic designer and artist for almost 30 years, she developed ESL materials for
all
the major schools in Japan. In 2006, she started Kidschool with a creative vision inspired by
her home schooling efforts to raise bilingual children. She is constantly updating her teaching skills
with online and distance courses in early childhood education.

Tetsuji Kiwaki graduated from Art Center in California in 1988 and after spending 9 years living in
Los Angeles is fluent in English and Japanese. A professional illustrator and painter for almost
25 years, he illustrated for international bilingual publications and ESL materials. In 2006, he
joined with Anne to start Kidschool. His belief in natural learning of a language stems from his
own experience in Los Angeles. |
Together they had a vision. A school rich in artistic atmosphere, where children increased their global awareness, learned
English naturally, and received increased sensory stimulation while participating in creative art experiences. Kidschool, an
English immersion international learning center for children was born. |
